Welcome to my little workspace for social outreach projects.

You are encouraged to explore as you like and take part in these projects as you wish.

In this website you will get the opportunity to explore some of my research and discoveries as a discussion of attempts to bring about sustainable and healthy development.

It is my belief that the history of science is closely tied to the history of education. Both share a great deal of social organization characteristics in common and both help to define our identities as individuals and communities.

A lot of what you will find in here is currently a work in progress, but it is all intended to get people engaged in the process of social integration.

Check out my work.

The growth of science has always required an education system and some method of evaluating the utility of knowledge.

This website explores the history of education and it's ties to the development of scientific practices. Much of the work found herein is in an unfinished form but the development of several chapter length essays can be found on open access protocols and academic capitalism.

My work examines the history of economic development and shows how entrepreneurial efforts have influenced the development of many of our education institutions. In the process of examining our economic and intellectual history I attempt to expose how expanding privatization in the market has had a devastating impact on professional collegiality in the university setting in the way that it rewards secretiveness and discourages collaboration just as much as it discourages interdisciplinarity.

Several of the essays I have provided in the education section work to explore the impacts of university-industry relations on our international development strategies and each of the essays explore how our educational institutions have evolved over time. While examining these ideas I also attempt to make the case that many of our academic institutions are losing touch with their original foundational principles as they increasingly come to serve the corporate interests of industrial giants, instead of the interests of the general public at large.

Education and the economy:

One of the views that I try to put across in my book is that science needs to be separated from industrial interests if open access to basic research is ever going to be maintained in something like an intellectual commons.

Use the link below to look at some of the reasons why I think our educational infrastructure needs to do the same if real social equality is ever going to be achieved.

There are other parts of my website that are available in their very early stages for you to get a sense of what I am hoping to accomplish.

If you are going to watch any of the videos that I have provided links to on my sustainability page, make sure to watch the VRPRO Documentary with John D. Liu.

This documentary provides a very provocative and eye opening depiction of the “source of value” in our economy that might influence the way you look at the environment.
